FAQ
What is Debt Payoff Planner?
An iPhone app for recording debts and payments, comparing payoff strategies and following progress. It is a planning and tracking tool, not a lender or debt settlement service.
Which debt payoff app should I choose for iPhone?
Look for an app that fits how you record payments, handles the balances you have and explains its estimates. Debt Payoff Planner supports manual tracking, reminders and snowball/avalanche comparisons. Try the workflow before choosing a subscription.
Do I need an account?
No separate app account is required. Apple handles App Store purchases using your Apple Account. The website calculators also work without an account.
Is it free?
The app is free to download and use with up to 3 debts, payment logging, reminders and the debt-free estimate. Premium (unlimited debts, strategy comparison with the exact payoff order, advanced statistics and PDF reports) costs $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year with a 7-day free trial (US prices). The calculators on this website are free.
Can I use it on Android?
The app is for iPhone with iOS 26 or later. These website calculators can be used in a modern browser on other devices.
Does the calculator send my debts to a server?
Calculations run in your browser. Calculator inputs are not sent to analytics. Older shared-plan links contain the plan’s numbers and debt names in the URL; anyone with that link can read them.
Which method is better: snowball or avalanche?
Snowball targets the smallest balance; avalanche targets the highest rate. Compare the estimated costs and choose an order you can follow. Your lender’s rules and real payments can change the outcome.
Are payoff dates guaranteed?
No. Estimates assume fixed annual rates, monthly interest and payments made as planned. Fees, daily interest, changing rates and lender-specific rules are not included.
Can I import a web plan into the app?
Not currently. The App Store link opens the app listing; it does not transfer your balances or schedule. Enter your debts in the app to track them.
Who makes the app?
Linas Nutautas, an independent app developer. Contact the developer through the app’s App Store listing.
