Terms of Use for Debt Tracker (Android)

The app

Debt Tracker helps you record your debts and payments and estimate how they will be paid off. It works without an account. Your records are stored on your phone, as described in the Privacy Policy for Debt Tracker (Android).

Not financial advice

Forecasts, payoff dates, interest and fee estimates, payoff strategies and the loan calculator give estimates based on the information you enter. Your lender's figures may differ, for example because of rounding, the way interest is calculated, fees or changes to your loan terms.
The app is not a lender, bank or credit counselor, and it does not give financial, legal, tax or credit advice. Check important figures with your lender, and consider professional advice before making financial decisions.
You are responsible for the information you enter and for the decisions you make.

Your records and backups

Your records are stored only on your phone. We cannot see, restore or recover them.
If you uninstall the app, clear its data, or lose or reset your phone, your records are lost unless you have a backup.
Create backups regularly and keep your backup password safe. We cannot recover the password, and a backup cannot be opened without it.

Free and Premium

Free includes up to 3 active debts (completed debts do not count), payments and payment history, reminders, the loan calculator, basic statistics, and backup and restore.
Lifetime Premium adds unlimited active debts, payoff strategy comparisons, detailed payoff forecasts and PDF reports.
Lifetime Premium is a one-time purchase through Google Play. It is not a subscription, has no recurring charges and does not expire. Google Play shows the price before you buy.
Premium is linked to the Google account you used to buy it. To use it after reinstalling the app or on another Android device, tap "Restore purchases" while signed in to that account.
Lifetime Premium for Android does not unlock features in our iPhone app, and purchases made in the iPhone app do not unlock Premium on Android.
If your Premium access ends, for example after a refund, your debts and payment history stay available, Premium features are locked again, and PDF reports you already created remain usable.

Payments and refunds

Purchases are made through Google Play and are subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google processes the payment.
Refunds are handled under the Google Play refund policies. You can request a refund through Google Play, or contact us and we will help.
If a purchase is refunded or reversed, Premium is removed.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under mandatory consumer law, including your rights for faulty digital content and any right of withdrawal.

Using the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Android devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, under these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or rent the app, or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows this.
You may not use the app for any unlawful purpose.

Changes to the app

We may update the app, change or add features, or stop offering it. Some features, such as purchases, may need an up-to-date version of the app.

Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that the app will be free of errors or always available, or that its estimates will match your lender's figures.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, losses from financial decisions made using the app, or loss of data that a backup would have prevented. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring a claim in its courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes on Google Play. If you keep using the app after a change, the updated terms apply.
